Best Fishing in Alaska
There's many reasons why adventurous anglers come to Alaska to fish, but many choose Sitka not only for the majestic backdrop, but the bountiful fishing for multiple fish species each day. Catch stats released by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game tell us that Sitka has the best catch rates in all of Alaska.
Fresh Fish Guarantee
It's a guarantee you'll catch fish while in Sitka. The Alaska Department of Fish & Game says Sitka has one of the best catch rates in the whole state! Our waters have a high bio-density, meaning there's always tons of fish, that's why it's next to impossible to get skunked. And did we mention that not only are there lots of tasty finned critters, but they are massive. Our Kings run 20-70lbs on average!
The Salmon Super Highway
Just off the coast of Sitka is a Salmon super highway. What this means is that every summer all 5 species of Pacific salmon swim through our waters on their way to spawn. Though we focus on finding the top 2 (King and Silver), it's still possible to catch another type.
